I've have a 2015.5 Silver S60 with Silver wheel rims. Sadly, I got too close to the curb while parking and have sustained some light to moderate scuff marks on one of my silver alloy wheels.

Has anyone in the forum had good success with any of the DIY kits or spray paints and epoxies that are advertised for this type of repair?

Do you know if the original wheels are painted with Enamel or Lacquer paint?

What color silver wheel paint is close to the Volvo color? Has anyone tried Dupli-Color® Wheel Coating, Silver, HWP101?

What clear coat? Has anyone tried Dupli-Color® Matte Clear Coat HWP106?

Do you have any recommendations on epoxy putty to fill the moderate scuff marks? I've watched the YouTube videos on this subject. But there are so many products and colors to choose from. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

 

Check with your dealers used car department to see what alloy wheel repair service they use.
It may/will end up being more than buying the DIY stuff but if the UC department is using them you will not be able to tell that the rim was ever damaged when they are done.

 

you can also find a local parts store that specializes in paints to see if they know the color codes for the wheels. I did refinish a wheel using putty/glazing then touch up paint and clear coat that I got from a local shop: Levine Auto Parts | Truck Lighting and Accessories if you are in the Danbury, CT area :-) Another route to go is call a shop such as wheelcollision.com and see what they suggest.
