Default Right front headlight smashed

The morning after spending the evening in the City, I found that the right front headlight of my S60 had been smashed The headlight itself works, but I've been quoted a whopping price of $700 ($350 parts + $350 labor) to fix this. The dealership says they only sell the complete headlight assembly. Is there a cheaper alternative?

thanks

Buy either a used one or new one off E-bay and we can help you get it in.
We can give you good instructions to get it in.

Thanks! per your advice, I've looked on the web, and have found some great prices out there for both copies and salvaged assemblies. Copies run about $85 or so, and full light assemblies from the junkyard run $30! I'm considering buying the light assembly from the junkyard and taking it to a auto body shop and asking them to replace it. Do you approve of this course of action? Am I taking a big risk with the "salvaged" piece?

thanks!

As long as it is in one peice then you will be fine.
I wouldn't worry about about it. That isn't something that like a motor or anything like that.
A body shop should be cheaper labor than the Dealer.
