Me again!!
Just reading messages on other Volvo forum sites and they mention the brake booster? Could this be the hissing sound? And as far as the braking is concerned it seems ok but I did initially put it down to needing new discs/rotors but these other messages are questioning all sorts of things so could thisbe part of it - extended pedal travel, hissing, engine shut off and hissing still continues!!!!
Any help would be great on this one because if it does have a bad braking system its going back to the dealer via their office window!!!!

Yeah its you're brake booster, i just had mine replaced. Its not supposed to be too dangerous initially thats why there hasnt' been a recall, but it is annoying and only gets worse.
