Default s60 AWD Gearbox issues

I have a 2002 S60 AWD that has had a replacement gearbox for the last two years/45,000Kms. When I am reversing it feels 'strained' and doesn't seem to want to work properly - it's like the brakes are on or something. I was told by the dealer that the wheel stops may be rubbing on full lock. These have been replaced with new but the problem is still there.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem and are there any solutions/ideas as to how to fix this.
I am concerned that this gearbox will need replacing - that is not a happy thought as the car has only done 125,000 Kms so far and is already on gearbox No 2.
Any help/comments appreciated.

If you do the same turn forward does it feel the same?
The AWD at turns will have extra drag on the car.

Default S60 drag

Hi,
It 'drags' more in reverse but sometimes, especially when parking, it drags going forwards also. I'm not sure if this is gearbox or something in the transmission now. I'm going to take it to the volvo dealer again to let them drive it for a while to see if they can work it out.

Well, mine drags too. It turns out to be rear right wheel getting stuck when backing up. Eventually they found the parking brake mechanism was totally gummed up and needed complete replacement. That was strange as I never used the Parking Brake. So couple hundret bucks later it was all fixed up by the dealer. Of course that was not deemed to fall under warranty, as the warranty Volvo offers is just on paper, they do not stand by it.
After the PB was replaced everything was fine again for another 20000 clicks until it got stuck again and completely locked up.
So nothing really surprises me anymore with these pieces of **** Volvos. The S60 is my first and certainly my last Volvo I will ever own. Be sure to avoid this brand in future, unless you really don't care for the maintenance nightmare and the coin involved with it.
