Default S60 new to me questions

I just purchased a nice 04 s60 awd. Low milage really nice car.Been going through the owner's manual and can't find an answer: Does this car have an "oil life" monitoring system? If so , when i change my own oil is there a way to reset it back to 100%? Is there a good volvo dealer to mail order parts from? one that discounts off of list price? thanks for any help Pat

every 7500 miles itll tell you "service required"

1) Turn the ignition key to position 1
2) Hold the trip odometer button down
3) Turn key to position 2
4) Hold for 10 or so seconds and then release

if you want, but honestly i wouldent even bother. i would just change the oil whenever you can and then done! reset it whenever it pops up in the future if your not going to follow the reccomended time and change it sooner you will have to randomly reset the light anyway.

OH! fyi, if you haven't taken a look at the oil filter yet you might be in for a surprise. instead of a regular metal can Volvo implements a reusable plastic one and you simply replace the filter cartridge. to change the oil you really should buy the proper sized oil filter wrench (got mine off eBay about 10 dollars) otherwise you will need to mess around with a pipe wrench or something and you will end up damaging it

Well i haven't looked at the oil filter yet....i bought a new one at the parts store yesterday and i see it looks just like the one on my CTS...but i guess the s60's is a spin on plastic housing? and i can assume that somebody cranked it on there? I'll look into the ebay wrench!! as an aside....does the s60 rear diff have a drain plug?? some of my cars do and some don't ...sure is allot easier when they have one....didn't see one when i was under there....but i don't have a repair manual for the car yet....any recommendations??
