New S60 Owner...Few Questions.
I just got a an 07 Volvo S60 2.5T with the Sport and Premium Packages. I love the way the car drives and feels, but I have recently noticed something.
When Starting from a stop or initially applying the brakes, I noticed there is a single click that I can feel through the steering wheel, particularly when starting off. It is just one single click or clunk and it is not really audible, but I can definately feel it. The car only has 700 miles so I find it a bit odd to have a bad bushing or loose tie-rod. Any input on this matter would be great.
Next, I used to have sirius in my Jetta GLI and didnt want to pay the 600 dollars for the Sirius unit for my HU-850, so I picked up a Stratus for 60 bucks and installed it. It works ok with the FM Modulator, but I figure the antennea booster thing would make it a little clearer, only problem is I dont know where the OEM Antennea is so Im not sure where to place the Sirius FM one.

When you first start the car, it will go through an ABS self-test. Most all modern cars do this. It results in a little clunk after a pause as you take off. It should not do it again until you shut the car off. Sounds like this might be what you're feeling.
I thought that might be it, but it appears that when the AC is on there is a clunk sometimes two when I take off with the AC on almost everytime. I dont know what else it could be at 750 miles.
It's the abs self check test.
It's absolutely normal.
I have the same thing with my 07 Sonata and 04 tundra.
The thing that you hear when you turn on the A.C. is ac compressor kicking in.
It's normal as well.
by the way, you have two garages on the opposite sides of the house?
where do you live?
Arizona? New Mexico?

I also have the AC "clunk" or jerk everytime I take off. I had it in my 03 and currently in my 01. I finally just gave up and realized it is a Volvo and it has slight delay at take off. I figure the AC compressor pulls on the motor a little (my rpms are about 200 lower with the AC on at idle) and just hesitates. I have had many software upgrades to try and eliminate it in the past but I am used to it now.
The "Click" sound is your AC compressor and this is completely normal.
The initial clunk is probably the ABS as well. All of my other vehicles (non-Volvo) do it as well. If your worried about it just take it to the dealer and have it looked at since it is under warranty.
Good Luck!
