Default S60 Newbie Questions

Hi there,

I have had a number of Volvos and european cars in the past and have typically been a DIY type of person. For example my daughter has an 87 Volvo 740 Turbo that we purchased and I fixed up for her. I recently lost my Jetta to a rear-ender, had to quickly pick a replacement car and found a really nice 2001 S60 2.4T with 48K for a reasonable price.

I have a couple of questions that maybe someone on this Forum knows something about:

the transmission has a slight leak in the cooling line that comes out the top of the transmission. I can easily fix the leak but understand that I have to take it to a shop to get the fluid level checked and possibly topped up. Is this right?

the dash cup holder opens but won't cinch down on a cup. When I push the arms together around a cup they open back up again without holding their stopping point. Is there any way to fix this without taking the dash apart?

Are there any manuals out there for this car?

I have VAG COM OBD software that I used for my Jetta, has anyone ever VAG COM's product for OBD codes on an S model?

Thanks for your help!

Pete

The o-ring on the line might be bad. You can check the fluid level yourself. And top off if you need to.

The Cup holder is a POS. They redesigned it and it is better now. It used ti ractchet but they would break really fast.
