S60 Steering Stops Limiters swapping

Default S60 Steering Stops Limiters swapping

Got under the car today, as the tires are rubbing the wheel wells on full turns. This is what I see:

I read that these can be swapped from side to side, but as I look at the part(s), they seem to be longer on one bolt side than the other.
Do the rubber "bumpers" come off the metal bar, and are swapped that way, or is my particular S60 not able to have these swapped from side to side, to avoid installing new ones?

I'm running 215/55R16s, and IPD says I need these;

Has anyone done this kind of swap on an '06 S60? Or do I need to order the parts new?

They can be swapped, but if they are worn, they should be replaced.

You can also shim them out with washers.

I did order replacements, last night, but I think we'll try to do a swap. If nothing else, the bolts will get loosened up for a replacement. It's double work, but I'm lending the car to someone who would be really uncomfortable hearing that rubbing.
