So I just bought a 2008 S60 with 75K miles, and I love it. But one word thing keeps happening... I'm using the Auxiliary input to play music through a Bluetooth transponder from my phone, and periodically, while the music is playing, the source input switches to the radio, without me touching either the radio **** or the steering wheel control (which, come to think of it, doesn't have a source switching function).

Does anyone know why this might happen, or how I can prevent it? It usually happens about once or twice per my 25-30m commute.

Any ideas?

 

Probably needs to have the head unit swapped out. My '02 would switch radio stations on me unprovoked occasionally, but it never got frequent enough to bother.

 

Is that something I should get done at a dealership? Is it worth looking for a used factory head, or should I just take it a car audio shop and put in a new aftermarket unit? I have a great relationship with a local Volvo parts & repair shop (they also sell a few cars) but AFAIK they don't handle much of the audio side of things.

I'm kind of a newb when it comes to cars, and this is the first one I've owned that's nice enough for me to want to think long-term instead of just doing whatever I want to keep it running.
