Question S60 wont' start in hot weather???

Hi, I'm new to the forum and am in need of some help. I have a 06 S60 2.5T that we bought new in 2005. It has been problem-free until now. It has been sitting in the driveway for a few days in HOT weather (100+). Went to start it on wed morning and everything was DEAD (remote locks, ACC, everything). Thought it was battery drain...attempted to jump start and it would turn over, putter, then shut off. Slow charged the battery overnight and attempted again. All electrical worked fine but the engine would turn over and act like it was going to keep running only to putter and die. Its the original battery and has not had any issues thus far. Has anyone had this issue or have any thoughts about what the problem may be??

Sounds like the battery went through a deep discharge. That usually ruins them. I had a similar experience with my friend's Explorer, where the battery was completely discharged and would not trickle charge nor could we jump start it. It fired up immediately after replacing the battery.

In my situation, the Explorer had been sitting in a garage for four months. Either your battery just reached the end of its serviceable life, or something else in going on and further troubleshooting is needed.
