S60R q's and advice needed
Hi Im new to the forum and was looking at getting an S60R. I had a few questions I hope someone might asnwer for me. First what Im looking at is a 2004 s60r, auto trans, with factory sport styling kit, 18" Pegs, and it has 32,700 miles. It also comes with existing warranty 4yr/50,000mile. The seller wants $21,000 for it. Now I know this a little under blue book but is it a good deal considering Ive heard that volvos are very expensive to maintain. I aslo heard that the 04 model 4C software isnt as good as the newer models and they there has been some issues with them. Are there any other issues I need to be aware of with this particular year? Basically can someone tell me what I need to know before I persue this buy. Any info on the car would be great. I dont know much about them.
thanks

As for the price and trouble areas, check
http://www.edmunds.com/
http://www.kbb.com/
My '05 has been basically trouble free, and I dont remember reading about the 4C software issues anywhere.Make sure the dealer has downloaded the most recent updates, and read through posts about trouble areas. Hope that helps some...

I also have an 04 S60R GT, it has 57k miles and no signs of trouble. www.swedespeed.com also has a dedicated R Forum, with lots of valuable info. That price is a very good price for that many miles, you might also check the carfax to see how many owners and if it was maintained like it should have been.
