I was wondering how that eBay scanner worked for you? I was thinking about buying it rather than paying dealer 130 to reset my CCM. What will it do? I would love to turn off my Daytime running lights(drive with lights on 24/7). Does it even work? Does it work with windows 7? Just thought Id ask before dropping a 125 for this thing.

My car is a 2001 Volvo S60 T5. I have been unable to reset my climate control module. I figured purchasing the Dice/Vida was the way to go if it will actually work.

 

TXS60T5, You can switch off DRL but reset CCM no.
CCM does not work means it won't be available in diagnostics too. So VIDA cannot do anything with it. The only you can check if CCM is responding in the prog mode.
If it does you can upload new software to the module. But to do that you need online subscription for VIDA. $160 for 3 days is minimal amount. Plus CCM software reload about 50. Going dealer is cheaper. And there is restrictions for buying subscription. Individuals can buy it only in the US and Canada. For EU a company required to buy.
