second gear grinding sound on S60 automatic
hi,
i have an 2002 S60 automatic with geartronic and sometimes when it changes gears from 1st to 2nd i hear a grinding sound.
i think i mostly heard it in the morning, when i assume maybe the gearbox oil is cold and thick and some times when the car is in park for a while and then i drive away.
there is no vibration felt in the car just the sound.
should i be worried?
i have to mention that the gearbox on the car was replaced with a brand new one and the oil is fresh(i pretty much have the full 40000KM to go before i need to change it)

If it is short metallic scraping sound when first driving off its an ABS system self check. Probably happens around the same time as the fuel door locks. You may notice it more at parking lot speeds with a window down but it is pretty loud. Freaked me out too at first.
