Sensus silliness
Time to update the maps on my 2015.5 V60
-Pulled up map update program, inserted properly formatted USB memory stick and begin - easy enough, only requires patience, data must be on a slow server, my internet connection is 100 Mb/sec + and I never saw transfer rate above 6
-car recognizes memory stick and begins maps & Gracenote update ( I gather that the latter has something to do with song titles?)
- at frequent but irregular intervals ( <1 to > 10 minutes) screen reports "Update failed USB unreadable, hit EXIT to cancel"
-After EXIT, screen immediately reports "Update in progress etc.)
- and repeat ad nauseam
- eventually "Update complete" Where's the bug?
A side note - I wish Volvo would separate the map updates from Gracenote. Having no interest in the ear pollution that passes for music these days, I would prefer not to waste the download and installation time to update the latter.
