Should I Consider This (dented/damaged) S60?
Hi,
I’ve been hoping to purchase an S60 (or S80) for a while now but they are hard to come by in my neck of the woods. I have very minimal knowledge about cars but some skills and knowledge about the buying process after having purchased my current used vehicle.
A 2013 S60 FWD (36,800 miles/ 59,200 kms) in the Premier option has recently been traded in at a nearby Acura dealership, and I’m wondering if I should consider looking at it...
My main concern is that a dent can be seen in the photos on the passenger side above the wheel well area. The salesman told me it is currently in the body shop until next week to fix the dent, which is why I have yet to see it in person. Assuming the dent is fixed, should I be concerned about damage to other parts of the car? Under the hood?
When the salesman told me it was dented he said something along the lines of “you can use this to your advantage when negotiating.” The car is already priced a bit under others available...should I take his eagerness to move this vehicle as a red flag?
Finally, if I move forward, should I have it inspected by a Volvo dealer?
Thanks and Cheers
