Red face Sluggish off the line, no "oomph" or message; Assistance Requested -

STATS: 2006 S60R, 59K miles, auto trans

COMPLAINT / ISSUE: Wife said today that the car was very sluggish and was lacking the "oomph" that it usually has when driven.

BASICS: No leaks, good on oil, water, and no codes. No flashing SES, no misfires, nada, which really has me wondering. Checked the "messages" in the car and the same, states none. No obvious disconnected lines, hoses, ect. No smoke blue or black out the exhaust as well.

Confirmed the lack of power with a test drive after work, & there is a serious lack of "go fast" with the car.

I DID notice that when the car is turned on, ( engine started ) the fan immediately turns on and goes into high speed sounding like a jet about to take off. The oil recirculation sounds as if its working, as when the car is turned off the pump will continue for a bit and then turn off.

Main fan will continue for a bit post the turn off of the car, and then turn itself off after a short ( +/- 10 seconds? ) run off when the ignition is turned OFF.

I disconnected the fan and re-started the car to which is sounds pretty normal per say, I've been pretty lucky with the fact that I have not had to spend a bunch of time under the hood so that's subjective.

Thoughts / ideas welcome - Im pretty handy w/ this kinda stuff but really have limited knowledge with the Volvo line as its our first. I was thinking boost line, but the fan issue has me wondering...

Thanks in advance.

Re-Set the ECM, issue seemed to be gone. Doing some digging left me with a TSB that says that there's an issue w/ the coolant temp sensor.

Will talk to the dealer in the morning to see if its been performed on the car, and see how much a sensor is going to run me.
