Sorry but another forum for my s60r problems...
So I have my s60r that I bought a couple months ago and am still working out the kinks. I replaced the head and timing belt with all the components. Passed it through MD inspection with some difficulties. Anyway this forum is about the oil leak from the cam seals I'm pretty sure and the check engine light for cam position sensor and turbo underboost.
Yesturday I took the t55 cam cap off the intake side and oil spewed out. I'm assuming that means the cam seal is bad? What's the best way to take the t55 cam bolt off? Before I installed them on the head, I made an attempt with my 3/8 impact, so I could replace the seals, but no luck. So I took a chance that the seals aren't leaking and then look what happened.
As for the engine codes I think I'm off a tooth but I don't know which way to go. The sprockets were not installed with the marks correctly before me so all I did when I installed them was turn them all the way clockwise. I do remember however, that when installing the belt I had to slightly turn the intake counterclockwise so the belt would fall into place. Is this where I messed up? I have a copy of vida, but I have a Mac, so I'm trying to have someone with a pc let me download all of this stuff...
I'll be doing the job this weekend
Thanks to anyone who can help!

It's more likely to be the cam seals. I was just saying oil behind the plug is not an indication of a problem. It sounds like the seals were put on the cams and them the cams installed rather than installed after the cams are installed. That's a shortcut that comes with a risk and is likely the problem here.

Oh ok then you're right because I reinstalled the cams with the seals on them. So just put the locking tool on the back side of cams and use a breaker bar to get the sprocket off? Also when I reinstall the belt, should I adjust the intake cam sprocket so that the belt just slips on when the gear is all the way locked clockwise?

So I put it together yesterday and replaced crank and cam seals. No codes anymore! When after putting the belt on and tensioning, I loosened both sprockets and turned the vvt all the way clockwise and I'm good to go. Has noticeably more bottom end. I'll find out if it leaks today after it's been sitting for awhile. Thanks for the input I do appreciate it
