Default Squeaky Steering

Hi, I am new to posting here but have not had any luck searching the forums for the answers I need. Accept my apologies if there is already a posting about this.

I just picked up my car today from my local volvo shop after having the valve body upgrade in my transmission on my 02 S60 2.4T along with a solenoid cap, trans software flash, and an oil change. Well tonight after drivingwith the radio offI noticed a couple new noises that werent there when I brought it in.

1.) When turning left at a corner my steering wheel squeaks! between 1/3 and half turn. I canturn the wheel back and forth from this point at a stop light and sqeak! squeak! Squeak! This drove me insane within 10 minutes to the point that this is all I hear. Also get some vibration, it feels like a plain bearing that doesnt matchits shaft and is vibrating. Its only when turning it counter clockwise.

2.) When accellerating, it sounds like there is a rattlesnake under my dashboard. a fluttery hissing sound and I can hear more of the engine when I turn it on. Again, annoying. Sounds like there is a hole into the engine compartment that needs to be plugged.

My question is, Are these quirks that may have a quick and dirty fix? Or would I be asking my technician to take the whole thing apart again to fix it. I dont want to make a fuss over issues that shouldnt make a difference to how the car runs, but I feel ive traded a big problem for a couple smallannoying problems.

Im gonna call and ask them about it tomorrow. Just wondering if its "as good as it will get" or if something was missed...

First have them check the Bearing where the column goes through the floor board.
What happens is when they drop the subframe the bearing gets nocked out of position and they forget to put it back.
See if that fixes both of the problems.

I just had the same problem on my 2006 S80 after transmission swap and ended up putting a hose clamp on the boot (below the brake and gas pedals) and hitting the rubbing area with some WD40, problem solved. The reason for the hissing is the turbo is on the other side of the boot in the engine bay and air rushing in (through the boot) while moving causes the turbo hissing sound to pass through the open boot, sqeakyness is the rotating part of the bearing and boot intersection.
