I have a 01 S-60 and the radio will just start to switch stations by itself, AM or FM. Sometimes just up one, and sometimes its switching over the place. Seems like a short somewhere. Anyone ever encountered this? It's a model HU-613.

 

I have the same radio in my 2002 s60. Same thing happens to me but it is quite rare. Also the volume can increase from time to time. Dealership said a new radio would have to be installed at the tune of $800+.

 

I had this issue too when the car was either really hot or really cold. Cant remmeber but it went away.

 

You guys sure you're driving Volvos and not a red & white two tone 1958 Plymouth named Christine? That car tuned its own radio, too, to the oldies station; but only when it was crushing somebody or something bad.

 

I have the problem as well. Has anyone come across a solution beside a new radio?

 

I've got a 03 s60 model HU-803. I'm using an FM intercepter that allows me to listen to my music while hijacking the frequency. Ever since I got the car it's had the issue, it was installed with an AUX that connected through CD function (broken now) my car has a few known problems with false warning lights ⚠️

It's a temp fix, but if you save all channels to the preferred channel then its less annoying. Though there everytime it tricks up there will be a short pause.
