Still Need Help!!!
Hello, I have a 2007 S60 2.5T AWD. The car was in an accident.
Hit a deer. Steering wheel bag blew. All three rear seat belt tensioners blew. Driver's seat belt tensioner blew.
All said components have been replaced, SRS module was reset by Myairbags, and all relative codes cleared and stayed gone.
Two SRS codes remain, 0259 and 0261 - OCCUPANT WEIGHT SENSOR SIGNAL MISSING OR DISABLED
All connections have been checked and there are no kinks in any hoses or harnesses.
I disconnected the battery before I did any troubleshooting. Using an external 5 volt power supply, I connected my voltmeter to the seat bladder pressure transducer (+5v, GND and signal). Without anything on the seat I read 4.19 VDC, with 40 pounds, I read 3.35 VDC and with 80 pounds, I read 2.83 VDC.
I have opened the seat and checked for leaks or puddles of silicone and none could be found. An Autel MaxiSys Pro unit was used to come up with codes 0259 & 0261. Recalibration was tried and the message on the Autel said faults cleared however the SRS lights remained on. The Autel tool did not ask for the V.I.N, perhaps that is the difference between the Autel tool and VIDA (I don't know what VIDA stands for.) I suppose it is Volvo's proprietary diagnostic tool. Has anyone used a scanner that will reset the Volvo codes?
Well, I brought the car to the dealer and dropped $100.00 to find out what I already Knew, that codes 0259 & 0261 were present and I needed to replace the seat. I replaced the seat with one that came from the same year & model that had not been wrecked.
I was told by the dealers technician to look for a 12 volt square wave at various connectors and at the SRS module ( Pin 10 at the main seat connector, pin E at the OWS and pin C:1/57 at the SRS module should be LIN communication.) A signal was present at all 3 locations.
So, back to the dealer I go. They check for and verify signals at the three connectors and try to reset the codes. They could not reset the codes. Then I was told that the module needed to be programmed to the car. I said go ahead.
Now they tell me, the module in the car which came with the car #30737504 belongs to an S80! The S60 module does not even look like the S80 module! They said I needed a #30782384. Again, I drop another $100.00!
So, I did some research and found that the two modules (30737504 & 30782384) are interchangeable. I went to several yards and found about 10- 2007 S60 cars with the OWS having #30737504 as the module.
Before I buy another module (30782384) and spend $100.00 on a module That I may not need, does anyone have any suggestions other than finding another dealer? They are the only dealer within 170 miles of me.

Hi Brian, unfortunately I'm looking for answers too. I have a 2007 S60R that I bought with the same codes and a salvage title. I've replaced the OWS and another small module under the seat (396060-1 / 12247049) with no luck. I'm planning to trace the circuits today like you have, but based on your experience not expecting much. I'll take a look at my SRS part number while I'm in there. Have you done anything else since your last post?
