Suggestion on car covers or protective finishes on my volvo
Hello everyone, I decided to purchase a 2004 S60 turbo the other day and it is in MINT Condition but my only problem is that I do not have a parking garage and it will be left out in the open. My dealer is trying to convince me to purchase the product called " Prestige Coatings" for $499, to protect the paint/interior on the vehicle. Has anyone ever used this product and if so can anyone give me a heads up for the good or the bad?? Or do I purchase a volvo make car cover. I would really appreciate the advice. Thanks!!!
Prestige provides powder finishes and coatings. It all depends on how careful and absorbed with your car you want to be and on the weather conditions. A regular durable car cover may do the trick.
No problem. You can find the cheapest covers on eBay:

If you decide on getting a cover, as opposed to the "prestige coatings," make sure you get one that is durable and will sustain in harsh weather. Saving $10 now will mostly likely end up being more expensive in the long run.
My auto sits in the baking sun and the inches of snow all year! The collector autos stay covered and warm inside the garage. But, I find that both my wife's daily driver and mine stay clean and shiny with nothing more than a periodic waxing over time. Consumers Report magazine ran an 'expose' on these miracle coatings a couple of years back......................it was quite an eye opener! But.... as fire 2 indicates..............if it is what you want..............then go for it. I mean.................jeez you have your new auto and want to protect it! What the coating won't protect is when the idiot in the suburban assult vehicle that parks next to you opens the door and you receive your first door ding...................
