I did my first mod to the s60 today. Replaced stock low beam bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar(H7ST <-- part #) bulbs. It's supposed to be the whitest street legal bulb availible by Sylvania. These pics were taken during daylight so the true results obviously aren't there- but in about 6 hours i'll take some night shots.

I switched over to the Silverstars a year ago.............a huge difference. I also re-aimed the lamps.

I believe they were appx $35.00 for a pair.................WalMart sells them.

local kragen's was $49 for a pack of two.... they were out of stock on that one... ende dup buying 2 individual packs $24.99 each... which totaled to about $54 including california sales tax

 

$54.00 is a terrible price to pay!! I believe you can purchase them via ebay for much less. At any rate they do a wonderful job when contrasted to a 'normal' halogen bulb.

Can you tell me how you re-aimed the lamps? I need to do that badly. My driver side lamp points up and to the right.......way off target.
