tire recommendation?
Hey all,
I have a 2004 S60 2.5T. I currently have Pirelli P Zero Neros 245 45R17s but I think its time to ditch pirelli. I keep losing pressure randomly in one of the tires. Supposedly its not a hole because they deflate at random times. Found quite a few complaints about them on the net, people having the same issues
My tire supplier recently changed from being a primarily pirelli to yokahamas and although he can get whatever tire i want I'm sure he'll be pushing for me to get yokahamas.
I have no problem with that as long as they're good.
There are quite a few of them out there, does anyone have any experiences (good/bad) with them? Which model? Or another tire they'd recommend?
I'm looking for mostly a summer/all season tire. I don't drive too far, mostly city driving to/from work.
I own a set of winter tires already.

What pricerange are you looking at for rubber?
Are you looking for something sporty or do you place emphasis on treadlife?
If you plan to go Yokohama, the Yokohama S Drive is an excellent summer tyre, and definitely worth looking into if he can give you a good price on it..
If you are in for an excellent summer tyre, the new Continental ExtremeContact DW is a fine choice as well
If you want all season that has supreme wet grip but not that much sporty character, the Conti ExtremeContact DWS is one of the top rated tyres on tirerack, and I just put a set of 4 on my car...
If I had to compare it to the all season Yokohamas I had before, it has significantly more wet and dry grip under power and braking, but a bit less crisp turn in .. That could just be cause i wore my yoko's down so the turn in and response improved over time..
The Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport is also another great choice on summer tire...
In the end the only way is to know what you want in a tire and get online and read reviews... You can always call tirerack for advice even if you dont plan on buying from them...
