hey all, i'm just wondering if i could swap out my auto s60r tranny for a manual tranny.. do people do that? is it possible, or even worth it?? i'm dying without my extra 50 torque and the added thrill of driving instead of just steering.. anything helps! thanks

 

It can be done. But best thing would be to find a wrecked one to get all the parts from.

 

What about the opposite approach............remove manual trans & clutch and swap out for an auto one? Aren't there rebuilt trans, both manual and auto, from transmission shops for sale at a reasonable price, too, besides finding them at the wreaking yard?

 

Both ways can be done but alot more is needed beside just a transmission.
