A Eureka, CA auto service who advertised specialty maintenance for Volvos where I delivered my 2002 S60 for an oil change last week said that my transmission fluid was dark and that it should be flushed/replaced at my next service. My transmission was flushed and replaced with fresh fluid in April 2009. How often should this be done? Thanks!

when was it last done before the most recent time?

 

Is this a facility you trust? I think another important issue here is will they use the correct fluid?
