Hello,
My wife owns a 2002 S60 2.4T FWD. GREAT CAR!!
Today the transmission did something weird and then came the problem.
Well, here is what happened. I was on my way out and got in the car turned it on and let it sit for a few minutes as I always do (especially in cold weather). I put the car in reverse and drove backwards and all of a sudden the car stopped and that was it. I put in neutral and it moved forward into the car pad (my drive has an incline), anyway, I put it in Parking and it parks as its suppose to, then I put in D and it goes forward (went a bit forward because my drive ended so didn't have too much space up ahead). When I put it in R, it just sits there, no reverse or forward. It feels like its still in parking. When you accelerate the engine runs as if it was still in parking, revving up fast and easy without struggling. Has anyone here had this problem? It has all the fluid and it just happen, no sudden sign of maybe a transmission problem or anything of the sort. Easy shifting in the city or hwy. I am just lost and I do my own mechanic work, but never seen anything like this.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
