s60 R - Houston we have lost reverse - Help?
Hey guys/gals, I've got a problem on my newly purchased 07 R that I pray you can help me understand. I've had the car for about 1000 miles now and everything is great. Until yesterday morning....
I got in the car, started it, took the break off, put it in reverse and nothing... The car wanted to go but it felt like something was in the way or pushing back. So, I put it in drive, it went forward... I put it back in reverse... Same as before. Neutral - worked... FINALLY, I put it back in reverse and POP! from the back right wheel and it went in reverse. I backed it up 10 feet then put it back in the garage.
This morning I tried it again. This time I heard the pop from the back left side and again, you could feel the engine pushing as if it wanted to go but was pushing against something... Note that even after the pop it would still not back up.
The car is CPOed - any thoughts? I plan on calling them in the morning, but I would really like to be armed with some information.
Thank you!!!

Update: I checked a few other forums and one guy found it to be his parking break cable. Apprently after he took his car to the carwash, the next morning it happened (thinking back, I did the same thing). He took it to the dealer and he sad they replaced the whole thing.
I'm still looking fro the damn transmission stick.
