Trunk/Boot Lights Not Working.

My trunk/boot lights are not working, when the boot is open I get the message on the dash that it is open so micro switches must be OK.
When I removed the lights to check the bulbs I discovered that they are not connected to any wiring, I have looked as best I can without removing any trim panels and cannot see any wiring that would connect to the lights.
Can anyone give me a heads up on what I am looking for or post a pic or wiring diagram so that I can resolve this issue.

Replaced the faulty fuel door solenoid today and whilst I was doing it took the opportunity to try and find the wiring and connectors for the two boot lights whilst the trim panels were removed.
I cannot find any connectors at all so it's a bit of a mystery!!!
Can anybody tell me the colour of the two wires going to the lights which would help me locate them if in fact they are there.
Thanks in advance.
