Default Turbo Control Valve; installation?

Hi, I have an '05 S60 R with 90,000 miles on it. It was recently malfunctioning (dropping power) and I checked codes and ultimately replaced the Fuel Pressure Sensor, which fixed the problem -- and gave me back the lost two miles per gallon.

But I'm writing for this reason: Nothing is actively wrong (throwing codes), but I'm beginning to wonder if the TCV is also beginning to go. I'm getting some real hesitation right around 2500 rpms -- which I know is turbo territory.

I'm contemplating the iPD TCV, and I have two questions:
  • From what I'm describing, does someone think this might be a malfunctioning Turbo Control Valve? And..
  • Is this a relatively easy thing to replace? (Where is it located, front/back? How is it replaced? Simply plug off the three hoses and go? Tough to get to?)
And even if it's not a bad TCV, has anyone replaced theirs for the iPD, and have any thoughts?

Thanks for any thoughts.
