Default Unidentified Part S60

Was working on my 2006 Volvo S60 2.5T and found this part under the engine not connected to anything. Can anyone identify it?

That's a plastic cap was was keeping one of the new compressor ports clean. Someone dropped it onto your engine compartment.

Is it old? Should I be worried? Do I need to go back to the mechanic?

It's used to keep the insides of the compressor clean after manufacture and discarded when compressor is installed.
