I’m almost ready to purchase a used 2013 AWD T5, at just over 50,000 miles. Having never owned a Volvo, I do feel rather comfortable about this car, but I’m not sure that I’ve checked off all the right boxes before purchasing used and out of warranty. I specifically avoided the 2012 S60 due to oil consumption, and I haven’t found any common issues or recalls related to the 2013. Other than regular maintenance, what are some important things that I should know or consider about purchasing and maintaining this car?

 

If it's not a dealer car I would pay for 120.00 diagnostic and ask them to tell you everything that needs to be done. I would also ask them to see if there is a service record for the car. The dealers are somewhat linked so they can look up the service record using the vehicle VIN.
