Default Various Warning Lights and ABS Control Module

Hello all, I've got a 04 S60 2.5t with around 120k miles. Last week, the "brake failure stop safely" light came on. Took it to the dealer. They reset the ABS Control Module and said if it continues they would have to replace the BCM for $1,850. I went home and did my internet research, discovering that this is quite common. Well, the brake safely light came back on, then my odometer stopped working and the "service engine soon" light came on. Vehicle functions properly otherwise. Can I simply order a used BCM off ebay for $200 and replace it myself? My car does not have DSTC. Is that the only thing I need to know to order the part? Any help is much appreciated.

Also, the warning lights are totally inconsistent. Sometimes one is on, then not, then another, then not.
