Default Volvo S60 Faults

I have a 2002 S60 D5S with 172k on the clock,Still goes well but with a few ****ling faults!, Can anyone help with some of them Please? firstly when ignition switched on, i do not always have a display box on the Left hand side of the dash, it lights up dim green but with no Characters, Occassionaly it gives a message then disappears!, My alarm goes off after about 15 minutes unless i switch off the internal sensors and when Idling there is a rumbling noise which goes away when you rev engine slightly, on investigation i noticed the drive belt was vibrating at idle and sprayed it with lubricant, the noise went away and the belt settled down until it dried out and the noise reappeared, Any ideas what could cause this? thanks in advance, Steve.[X(]

Possible the electrical part if hte ignition switch is bad. The alarm problem might be a bad siren. The vibration might be a bad belt tensioner.

Default RE: Volvo S60 Faults

Hello, Thanks for the Response, I have tried to switch off the warning/service interval light by a couple of the methods shown in this forum but to no avail!, Can anyone give me a step by step procedure to do this please? Now the Airbag service light is on too, is that the same procedure as the service Warning?. Regarding the Faulty electrical part of the Ignition switch, would this be easily repaired or changed, i would rather have any spre part required before stripping off the column covers! Thanks again, Steve.
