v40 t4 2003 -faults
i'm new to this forum,i have a 2003 v40 t4 i use it as a taxi the problems that i've had with it was :balljoints replaced twice, linkbars replaced, left front barring replaced, front suspension hard ,ignition coil replaced, interior heater replaced, two engine mounts replaced, automatic gearstick button replaced twice(made of cheap plastic).the reason most of these faults occured is that i was running car on 16/215/50 tyres the cars suspension too hard for these tyres ,i suggest to most people dropped an inch in tyre and run on 15/215/65 car drives alot smoother and better .wheel allignment and tracking will become thing of the past.i do mantainace on car myself and best advice is to change engine oil ,oil filther and air filther every 6,000 miles.
i have one question does anyone know how to change transmission oil and is there a filther with that as i went to a volvo dealer and was told there's no filther?kinda stumped as most automatic's have filther's and gasket to change on transmission?any help would be grateful

cheer's tech,
one more question most of the parts that fail on the car is due to the rubber eliments failing is that just a volvo problem or just to create revenue?also where does the metal corrosion get filthered throught from the gear changing?

All volvo's have bushings problems.
Inside the transmission there is a really small filter attached to a hose. But to get to it to replace it you would have to split the tranny in half.
