I just got done with a $2,000 service at 45,000 miles. this included a tune up and changing the cabin airfilter. This seems really extreme to me at this mileage ( the car is in good shape ). Are there any good independent Volvo repair places in North New Jersey or Eastern Pennsylvania ( Lehigh Valley ) that can do this ervice work for less?

Any suggestions welcome

 

What exactly did they do??????

 

Lets see ... Std service and tune up $1400... cabin air filter $152... Front linkage bolts 400 ish.... ALSO A THROTLE BODY CLEANING.

They replced almost every filter in the vehicel, power flushed the engine... new spark plugs ... New side view mirrior motor. Total was actually $ 2600

 

Cabin air filter for $152.00??????????????????????????????????????????? ?????? You can change it your self for less than $20.00!!
I can not believe a few spark plugs would run $1400.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Volvo dealer I go to is no where near those numbers.

A 45,000 mile service is an Oil change and a pollen filter change.
You must have missed the 30,000 mile service.That is the major tune up service. Normally that will run $300.00 to 400.00 for the service The pollen filter should be included with the service.

They must really be a ripoff dealer!!!
