Default What service is needed when the service light on (95 850)

The service light has been on on my 95 850 for months. I'm thinking of getting the job done by a dealer. But before that I would like to have an idea what services need to be done and how much they usually charge. Thanks!

the proper answer is that the light comes on when you need ANY service listed at the intervals in the owners manual. Oil change, inspect brakes, rotate tires, etc.

The REAL answer is the following service: Pull the instrument cluster out of the dash and remove the bulb.

The light comes on 5,000 miles after it was reset. It's meant to be just a reminder that it's been 5,000 miles since your last service. The good news is on a 95 you can turn if off yourself. Here are instructions on how to reset it:

And don't forget to change the air in your tires too! :-)

But I'd listen to JimKW.
