Volvo V60 2014/15 D2 Engine
Hello guys. I am new here, hopefully soon-to-be V60 owner, and would greatly appreciate your help.
I am buying a used car and have decided on a Volvo V60. I am looking at the post-facelift models (so around 2014 and up) with at most 130.000 km (80.000 miles) and my budget is 11.000 € (12.500 $). Based on this criteria, I have found only 5 cars in my country and all of them are D2 115HP (84 kW), 1560ccm. At first I thought I would want a more powerful engine, but after thinking about it and test-driving a couple of them, I realized this will be enough for me and I decided I will buy a V60 with one of those D2 115HP 1560ccm engines.
But now I'm wondering if these engines are of a good quality. Is it correct that this is basically a Ford engine? How reliable are they and do they have any known problems or recalls?
I hope I've come to the right place, there are lots of Volvo owners here and You guys must know a lot about those engines. Is buying a D2 engine like this a good idea?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
