On my 02 s60t the low beams a not good they just seem weak I took it to volvo and they said it was fine but it is not. Is this a common problem with these cars? Im going to try and put brighter bulbs in maybe it will help .............Jerry

They should be Osram Sylvania bulbs.

I had those in my S70 stock, I changed to Sylvania Silverstars and I likef them a lot better. Whiter light and I am sure they were brighter as well.

Ya Im gonna get a set tommorow Hopefully it will be better cause there terrible now. Its the only dissapointing thing about the s60 besides the stupid "position light failure" message that I cant seem to get to shut off even though all the bulbs are working. I drove it last night and it was a little hairy in real dark areas. Anyway thanks for the reply.......Jerry

U might want to adjust the headlights as well. It seems to be a common issue with S60's. I had the same complaint (even with xenons) until I moved them up, and they are great now.

Your headlight has 2 adjusters. One you have to go through the radiator support to get to it. The other is towards the top on the outside of the headlight. The one that you have to go through thr radiator support to get to should be the up and down adjustment. It is about in the middle of the headlight on the back side.

If I remeber correctly, u can use a regular socket wrench if u have a longer socket, or a small extension...I hope that makes sense. I forget the size though.

It is a very small socket like a 4 or 5.5 mm socket. I always use a long extension and the socket.
