Default Weird sound when I shut off engine

so i just picked up a one owner, 82,000 mi. 2004 Volvo S60 2.5T on the 18th for 2,000$ flat.

Car looked pretty damn mint.

all that seemed to be wrong with the car was a bad right front strut. I already ordered both front struts.

car is amazing, I love it. I did notice a little sound when shutting off the engine though.

has anyone experienced this before?

I have never experienced something like this in any vehicle.

Right as i turn it off and While it shuts down it just makes a sounds as if it’s shaking. It’s not hesitatnt to shut off or make the sounds, it’s instant shut off like a normal car but just gives an extra rumble as it shuts off.

i was thinking perhaps engine mounts?
What are some things you guys would suggest?
I don’t have any codes being throw or anything.
car shifts extremely smooth, I can’t even feel it at times. It’s a great feeling compared to any other cars I’ve driven. ( mainly Japanese)

thanks in advance

My guess would be engine mounts since they are known to fail at that age.
Actually, you should plan on eventually having to replace ALL of the rubber mounts/bushings on a 14 year old S60.

Just wanted to say congrats on that find for $2K!! I looked at 7 used S60/80's 2004-07 before finding mine - a '04 S60 non-turbo with 140K miles for $3400 and thought I got a steal! Most were $5K+ and all had cosmetic and/or mechanical issues ...
Have sunk $800 in various parts replacements in the 2 weeks since purchase - one of which being the top motor mount which was shredded. So yes, I agree with above comment. My lower mounts all checked out and told those are the expensive ones (hydraulic filled?). Spent about $200 for the top to be replaced by Volvo dealer - $$ I know - but they did a complete $130 "used car" check over at N/C for me.
Anyway, for the deal you got on that S60T (mines an I5), expect to spend a few hundred on replacement parts either yourself if you're mechanical, or find a good local mechanic who knows the Euro cars.

Thanks a lot for the reassurance that it’s nothing biggie.( not that I thought it was something big).

i did replace both front struts.

i will be getting to all the bushing, mounts, and the full suspension soon.

i will post pictures soon, I will try by tomorrow.

thanks again -j
