Default What does T5 mean ? +ecu questions

I own a 2001 volvo s60 2l turbo and i was looking around for ecu tuners and every tuner i seen only has selections for the volvo s60 T5 and the rest are all diesel models as far as i can see and so far i looked on 4 different tuners and its the same story only petrol model is volvo s60 t5 i know for sure volvo made s60 petrol in 2l and 2.4 i think so does the T5 stand for any turbo inline 5 model in petrol?

Also has anyone gotten their stock volvo s60 2001-2004 tuned and where ?
Also what power gain can i see from a healthy 180hp that is said on paper stock ?

And the least question how much does this generation of s60 actually make on the wheels ? i'm guessing around 150-160hp

T5 = 5 cylinder turbo. Best thing to do is use your engine code (should be on a sticker under the hood or you can use a VIN translator) - yours is probably a B5204T5 (petrol, 5 cyl, 2.0L , 4 valve turbo, 5th generation). If your model is using the same version of Motronics as the 2.4L, then the software is probably all the same but worth a call to the tuner. Check out https://www.ecopower-remaps.co.uk/ for some info...

While the T5 is a turbocharged 5 cylinder (in the P2 anyway), not all turbocharged 5 cylinders are T5s.

right, I generally read T5 as referring to the "high pressure" turbo models..

The engine is also different. For example, the 2001 S60 2.4T is a 2.4L while the 2001 S60 T5 is a 2.3L. The 2006 S60 2.5T is a 2.5L and the 2006 S60 T5 is a 2.4L.

Internals might be different too.

I'm not sure, I was referring to US models. The 2.0 wasn't in the US in 2001.
