I have another thread that I am trying to trouble shoot bad MPG on my 2001 s60.

I was just wondering what others get for in town MPG? Maybe im working on nothing. I am worst case driving, %98 city driving, lots of stop and go. they only thing I have going for me is that I feather the peddle.

I my little LCD says I average 16.2 most of the time

 

My mpg around town is 23-25Mpg on 87 Octane

 

my average on the trip computeris 33.6mpg

for this information to be useful everyone needs to write year and engine type at a minimum.

I get 21 MPG w/ 91. 2001 s60 t5. 80% Freeway. Very low and I dont know why.

yes im a very easy driver on the right pedal none of this up and go and keep accelerating right up to the traffic lights then brake hard stuff for me!
im usually in no rush so when i pull of i jently accelerate to speed and always coast to red lights or if i see them changing. 57mph on the motorway helps too ) also i find a drop or two of acetone in my tank works wounders for me. i also take out any excess waight and cheak my tyre pressures every week. and cheak things like airfilters ect every month every penny helps!! lol


2001 t5

 

I have a 2001 S60 T5 and around town I average between 17-19 mpg. On the highway about 25-27 on 91 octane.

 

I have a 06 2.5T and my mpg from the vehicle's computer displays 25.8 where the highest went up to 27.3 on 91 octane in nor cal..

 

2002 S60 T5 Manual 23-25 City about 90% City at the moment, Ive seen up to 31 on the highway
