Default S60 wheel conversion to 18" Pegasus

Hi There,

I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help.

I have a 2001 S60 2.4T and wanted to switch out the stock 16" wheels to an 18" pegasus from a 06 S60 R. My question is, is this a straight swap situation or will I have to do some work to make the new 18" wheels fit?

Many thanks

ide install some half inch spacers

other wise you will have about a 130 foot turning radius lol

Default S60 wheel conversion to 18" Pegasus

Well that sounds straight forward enough. And you're sure there is nothing else that needs to be done to accommodate the 18" wheels. It's just that I spoke to a mechanic and He was going on and on about all the things that need to be changed on the front end to accommodate the 18" Pegasus wheels.

Is it just the front wheels that have the .5" spacers or will I need to have the spacers at the rear as well?

Thanks for all your help.

Do 5mm or 10mm spacers in the front to eliminate the rubbing you'll get on the inner wheel well. And yes, you're gonna have turning radius issues. Lol.
15mm spacers at the rear just make the back in look better but not necessary.

not unless you drop the car too with lowering springs

then your going to want to "roll" the fenders
on a car like a civic or a prius yeah your going to have huge issues with putting 18"s on

but with this volvo one of the stock factory options was 18 inch rims itll work perfectly the spacers are just helpful as the turning radius of these cars is pretty bad as it is
in reality you dont need any atall just bolt on the new rims, just try not to turn well atall lol

That's some great info, at this point in time I'm going to go with 17"Pegasus wheels and not worry about the 18's till I get myself the S60 R.

Thanks for talking some sense into me,
much appreciated...
