Windshield Washer Tank for 2003 S60
Greetings to everyone and thanks in advance for your help. I am a new member from NJ who was just given a 2003 Volvo S60. The plan is to give it to my daughter and I am just starting to go through the entire vehicle and found my first problem.
I cannot get the windshield washer to pump fluid and the tank is leaking on to the ground. The former owner advised that the tank was cracked but made no mention that the pump was not working. My question is how do I remove the tank so I can replace it and the pump? Any reliable sources for these replacement items? I also need the cover for the passenger side view mirror.
Thanks again for the help,
Joe...

The tank and pump you may be able to get aftermarket. When you order the tank and pump, you will have to know if the car has headlight washers.
The mirror cover is dealer only, since those are painted from the factory. You will need the VIN to get the correct cover color.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. Would you happen to know the best way to access the windshield washer tank/reservoir? I heard some advise taking the front bumper off which I am not comfortable with.
Thanks again,
Joe

Having just replaced the right side headlamp assembly, I can say taking the bumper fascia off is very simple. It literally fell off after a couple bolts, clips, and few turns of a screw. Also having just replaced the siren module, I can tell you the reservoir is very accessible from the wheel well without taking the bumper off. I don't know if you need to access from the front of the car to remove the reservoir, but if not, you can access it from the wheel well. All you have to do is loosen the lut bolts, jack up the car, put on jack stand, remove the wheel, drill out a few rivets, and remove 2 plastic nuts to peel back the wheel well liner. Either way, other than fascia being intimidatingly big and seemingly unwieldy, it's not not that hard to remove.

Thank you all for the help, I just may try it myself since the mechanic wants over $300.00 to do the job. Dealing with the DIM which is causing all kinds of issues, I just sent it out to be rebuilt. Independent shop wanted over $900.00 to replace it. He also wants $800.00 for the timing belt. Looks like I will be doing a lot of the work myself as I cannot afford the repairs otherwise...
