Yaw sensor I had it told home I live in the absolute middle of nowhere so of course t
Thank you for that picture so it's actually on the seat I didn't know that. I was looking under the rug. Well somewhere on this forum I saw that it would cause the car not to start. There was about 3" of water down there from water coming in the sun roof it was driving fine the Anti skid sensor came on it's slowly lost power and now won't start. A nice man did stop with the code reader and he said that it wasn't coming up with the code A nice man did stop with the code reader and he said that it wasn't coming up with the code But it wasn't Starting so I don't know how he would be able to see that. I live in the middle of nowhere so of course there's not a Volvo dealer or even really a mechanic nearby.
You do understand you are guessing about a $775 part. What you need is someone with a scan tool that can talk to the whole car. Cheaper scan tools will just do emission related codes - from the engine and transmission. Little more money and you might get Brakes and Airbag codes. Every control unit stores self diagnostic codes and there are maybe 15 control units. Did your free scan talk to the CEM? (central electric module).
More than likely water has gotten into a control unit and is causing your problem. So not only do you need to fix what's making the car not run - you need to fix why and how the water is coming into the car. Sunroof drain tubes are a common problem. If you looked under the carpet you noticed the carpets have up to a 4 inch foam block glued to them. Usually in a case like yours the first thing is to remove the front and rear carpets to get them dry (if wet on both sides) - that can take up to a week. During that period the water leak is found and fixed and the reason the car is dead is fixed also. On later models water intrusion into the CEM is a problem - but not usually for your year.
