Why the heck did you put 10,000K HID's in your fogs?

1. Anything after 4500K is worthless. They put out less light and the only thing you get is a color change.

2. With foglights you shouldn't go more then 3,000K.

Some of what you say is true, but you ahve some flaws in your statement. If everything after 4500k is worthless, then why did you put 5000k hids in your headlights?

Two: say you have a HID kit with a peak luminocity of 3600lm @ 6000k even at 10000k the lumen rating would still be greater than that of halogen which only has 700 -1000lm

At 10000k the lumen rating is prolly around 2100lm with a 35w kit

Why because I wanted to. I knew going into it that 4500k at the most lumens.

Yeah your right 10,000 is higher then any Halogen, but it is still less then 4500K.

With that said if you want peak light output you go with 4500K. If you want a different color you go 5000k and above.

With foglights you go 3000K because 4500K is way too bright for foglights.

Also did you really buy HID's for that cheap of a price? Did it comes with bulbs, ballasts, wiring? Or did you just get bulbs? Because if you just got bulbs you don't have HID's.

Yes, DON'T
You will burn out the housing, maybe the harness and you will be left with NO fog lights!
You can't just pop a 100w bulb there or in your headlights, the wiring harness does not have large enough of a wire to handle it.
I can't tell you how many times this has been tried over the years, usually with the same result

All true, 6000k will give you pretty close to pure white, 8k and 10k have shades of blue. Color will change with the temp that the bulbs burn.

As for the $67 hid kit: that included, 2x 10k(or whatever k i wanted) bulbs 2x digital ballasts(not the ****ty magnetic kind) all the wires, sticky pads, etc...... In other words a complete kit. The guy on ebay has sold almost 5000 of them and its all state side, so I got super fast shipping. Also with the digital ballast, their is no flickering and the green light still shows up on the fog switch so I know both are working. Good quality for the lowest price on ebay... not bad

Seller is: zgperformance

Im going to buy another it from him for my headlights

Sweet! Thanks for all the input guys. I might go with the $67 solution suggested, as it seems to be the most logical choice without melting anything. I'm glad I asked.

Check the warranty on them. If it is anything less then a lifetime warranty it isn't worth it.
