Default 1998 S70 T5 -- trailer hitch?

I ordered a trailer hitch through my local uhaul but as an after-thought, now
wondering if it's a good idea for a T5?

Doesn't the car ride lower than a regular S70? -- Does anyone know
if it will be a problem?

Only using the hitch for a bike rack but sure don't want to be hitting things
in the road.

The T5 does not sit lower then the S70 NA or GLT. You will be fine. I know a few people that have hitches on there 850 T5 without any issues.

Well -- just got back from Uhaul -- after waiting for an hour or so, he said he
simply can't do it.

It's the hitch that he got straight from uhaul.

Among other things he showed me a bumper bracket that looks like it's in the way --
also that "hook" or something that is under there (right middle) is in hte way.

??

Anyone do a trailer hitch on this car? -- what brand ? any instructions on the
web somewhere?

thanks -- just need to get a bike rack on it.

Default Hitch

I just install a hitch on my 2003 C70 convertible 3 weeks ago. I purchased the cheapest one on Ebay. Major brand. I pull a wave runner trailer .
The hitch fit okay, I needed to enlarge one hole and loosen 2 bumper bolts. The "hook" the guy was talking about is the place where a tow truck would hook his cable to. Most hitches bolt to this hook in the middle of the hitch with one bolt at each end.
Dealer sites say 30 min. install but think more about 1- 1 1/2 hours. Some guys here say that there are nuts already welded by Volvo in the frame, mine did not. if you get a hitch with bolts and they do not fit ( different threads) Lowe's/depot have a lot of metic bolts.
Any question...ask.

Uhaul used a drawtite 36262 but wouldn't fit.

I don't think the 850 one will fit the S70.
