Default 1999 S70 Defrost Issue

I have an S70 that is great except for one issue. About a year ago, the defrost stopped blowing large amounts of air. It still blows some, but not enough to really defrost. It seems that the vents for the defrost is closed or the intake is blocked somewhere. I cannot find a diagram anywhere of the AC airflow so I can check the individual pieces.
Everything else works perfectly. I have removed the glove box and looked around but do not really know what I am looking for. I did notice that the black peg that sticks out of the side rotates. Is something supposed to be attached to it. I changed the Cabin Air Intake filter.
Any thoughts anyone? I hat to take it to the shop. The last thing they offered to fix for me they quoted over $700 and I fixed it myself in 20 minutes for a little over $100.
