2001 V70 2.4t code 44 with CEL

I just purchased a 2001 Volvo V70 with 137k miles. I brought her home and now she's throwing code 44 with an intermittent CEL. I searched the forum but found nothing specific to code 44. I'm thinking either MAF or ETM but wanted to reach out to you folks...the experts. Anyone with advice?
