8,000k vs 10,000k HID's?
hi, i have a '98 s70 and im thinking of putting some hid's on it. now i know that there are many different brands that sell hid lights and there are lots of different outputs for the light. but i want a BLUE color with my hid's. so i was thinking of getting a Xenon 10,000k HID kit, but i cant decide between the Xenon 10,000k HID kit and the Xenon 8,000k HID kit. or maybe even Xenon 20,000k HID kit? i want a more BLUEish color as possible... so if you guys have any expirience or have a friend with hid's than please let me know

1. Go to SharpHID.com to get your HID kit.
2. 8,000K and 10,000K are more purple then blue.
3. 5,000K to 6,000K are blue. I have a 35W 5,000K from SharpHID.com and they are a nice color.
4. Also you do realize that with anything above 5,000K your actually loosing light output (LUMENS). The only thing you are getting is a color change. Now I know you want a BLUEISH the most BLUE you can get. But also think about the light output (LUMENS). While it might not be a HUGE difference your still producing less light and to me that is more important then a color change. 5,000K is BLUE enough for me and still produces great light output (LUMENS).
****FYI, 4,300K-5,000K produce the most light output anything above produces less and anything below like 3,000K is your standard Halogen bulb light output (LUMENS)****
