Driving down the road today and my car just died on me started it up again pulled off second i let off gas it died again. starts and turns over but dies once i let my foot off the gas. burned black and white smoke. i think its my fuel pump or fuel pump relay really need help im new to the volvo game. Is it hard to DIY. please helppp!

 

Both are relatively common problems on these cars but also fairly easy to repair too. Have you checked fuel pressure, compression, etc.?

 

no i haven't like i said i am new to volvo's its my first one so i don't know how to do much on them. what else should i check besides fuel pressure and compression?

 

Also how do i check compression on my engine
